Disability Awareness Day
Wacky Wednesday – We all dressed in a ‘wacky’ colour or pattern or even had ‘wacky’ hair do’s as part of our Disability Awareness Day in school. The objective of the day was to learn about different disabilities and how these may affect people’s lives.
Year 2 had a very special visitor today! The one, the only, Florence Nightingale! Year 2 learnt all about Florence and her life during the 19th Century. The children trained as nurses themselves and even became injured soldiers, bringing to life the horrible conditions of Scutari Hospital in 1856.
