Remembrance Day (11/11/2016)
The whole school met together at 11am on 11th November to observe the two minute silence and remember all those service men and women, now and in the past, who have sacrificed so much for us.
As a school we did a few activities to commemorate this year’s Remembrance week. The Year 4 pupils went round each class daily and sold poppies to all the children. We had a special assembly to learn all about why we have ‘poppy day’.
We also had a special gathering on the 11th where the whole school took part, very sensibly, in the two minute silence to show our respect for who all those who fought and died. Finally Mr Hindhaugh and two Y4 pupils represented Richard Clarke in the village remembrance parade in the village on remembrance Sunday.
Thank you to all involved and thank you for all the money donated – we will let you know how much we raised.
