CLERICAL ASSISTANT
REQUIRED FOR JANUARY 2026
Location: Richard Clarke First School, Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire, WS15 3BT
Contract: Permanent Term time + 1 week
Grade 3: 16 hours per week over 2 days (8.30am-5.00pm)
(Full time salary £25,185, actual salary 46.2 pay weeks, £9649)
We are looking to appoint an organised and enthusiastic person to join our team. The successful candidate will complement another part-time Office Assistant and support the Headteacher in a wide range of organisational, financial and administrative tasks within a busy school office.
The candidate will be expected to display confidence and competence using a range of computer applications as well as possessing a good standard of written English and mathematical skills. The ability to be flexible and approachable is essential, along with self-motivation and a willingness to learn new skills. The candidate will be able to meet deadlines efficiently and support with the smooth running of the school. The role includes exposure to a significant amount of information so confidentiality and integrity are critical.
The successful candidate will also share responsibility for administering first aid and take the role of Emergency First Aider at Work (training provided if necessary) as well as offering welfare support to children when necessary.
An understanding of school administration and the education system would be an advantage, but is not essential. Please take a look at our website to appreciate what Richard Clarke can offer.
